PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
For industrial beneficiation of primary and secondary raw materials, selection of the most appropriate crushing method plays a key role in the production of specific grain sizes, shapes and surfaces, or to break down multi-component materials.
The selected crusher must conform to today’s stringent requirements for processing rocks, ores and coals. Materials to be crushed are becoming more and difficult to process, high throughput capacities are required, and a high focus is now placed on energy consumption.
Due to investment cost, crushing plants are moving to compact solutions, and crushers with low space requirements are advantageous, even for fully-mobile systems, and the use of energy-efficient roll sizers, with high throughput rates, is becoming increasingly important from both an economic, and an ecological point of view.

Drive
The direct drive consists of electric motor, fluid coupling, gearbox, and a mechanical coupling between the gearbox and the rotor. The fluid coupling provides excellent protection against blows and impacts in heavy-duty use, and affords protection against overload. If non-breakable tramp material enters the machine, the fluid coupling will disconnect the drive from the crushing rolls. In addition, in the event of overload, rotation direction can be reversed to release a blockage and allow operation to continue.
Housing
The housing and drive mountings of the HAZEMAG Sizer are very robust and suitable for heavy-duty applications. They are fitted with easy to exchange wear parts, and the housing-system’s modular design allows easy implementation of customers’ specific requirements. A track lifting device, for moving the crusher from the working position into position for maintenance, is also available.
Track Roll Lifting Device
A roller carriage system that allows the sizer to be moved easily from under the feed hopper; giving full access to the sizer and its internal parts.
Roll Locking Device
Operator safety is paramount, and all HAZEMAG crushing rolls can be fixed in position for safe maintenance. This roll locking device is integrated into the crusher’s locking system.
Center Sizers are typically used in applications where fines need to be limited, and are often the ideal solution for processing difficult materials such as clays. Due to its design and open passage system, which allows all fines to pass very quickly, sizers can be very compact but still achieve very high capacities.
Operation of HAZEMAG’s Sizer is based on the principle of twin, counter-rotating rotors, operating at identical speed. During the crushing process, the rotors work in unison; generating an uninterrupted pressure point that ensures smooth and continuous operation. The rotor systems have been specifically designed with heavy-duty, protruding teeth, ensuring an immediate reduction of large feed pieces. Compared to a compression type machine, the mineral sizer offers an excellent, alternative solution for processing problematic materials.
The crushing rollers for primary and secondary crushers consist of rollers with crushing rings which are fitted with replaceable crushing caps. The crushing rollers for secondary or tertiary crushers consist of shafts that are equipped with exchangeable crushing segments. As a result of the special geometry of the shaft/breaker rings and the breaker tools, an optimal fit is achieved which is able to withstand the high breaking forces. The shape and number of teeth is determined by the application.
